Choosing Your Class & Registration (Classes to Start September 16 - 19, 2019)

RBDC recommends that members stay at each level for two years or more to learn all the steps and refine their dance techniques before progress to the next level. All Classes are one hour long.

Couples must register as individuals. (one person per registration form)

Members must be 18 to register. Student ID is required.

Online Registration

Select your class by clicking on the link beside the Level you wish to register for. You may apply for an “Extra/Additional Class” with a Full Membership.

Adult Membership - includes Extra/Additional Class

Student Membership - includes Extra/Additional Class

Extra/Additional Specialty Class - includes Regular Membership and Extra/Additional Class for both Adults and Students


CLASS LOCATIONS:

  • LUC (Lakeview United Church) - 3200 McCallum Ave., Regina, SK

  • WaWa (WaWa Shriner’s Hall) - 2065 Hamilton Street, Regina, SK


BEGINNER:

  • Open to anyone interested in learning to dance

  • No previous dance experience is necessary

  • Dances taught are: Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, and Two Step

    • Monday - LUC - 9:00 pm

    • Tuesday - WaWa - 6:30 pm or 7:45 pm

    • Wednesday - WaWa - 8:15 pm

INTERMEDIATE I:

  • Basic dance steps need to be “automatic”. Other steps taught in Beginners should be well known since this class builds on the material introduced in the Beginners program. Good frame should be in place

  • Dances taught are: Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, and Two Step

  • Tango, Samba and West Coast Swing are introduced

    • Tuesday - WaWa - 9:00 pm

    • Wednesday - WaWa - 7:00 pm

    • Thursday - WaWa - 9:00 pm

INTERMEDIATE II:

  • Members should know the material from the two previous levels since this class builds on those dance steps

  • Dances taught are: Foxtrot, Swing, Rumba, Cha Cha, Waltz, Two Step, Tango, Samba, and West Coast Swing

  • Mambo is introduced

    • Thursday - WaWa - 7:45 pm

INTERMEDIATE III:

  • Members should be comfortable with material from the three previous levels and be looking to “fine tune” their dancing. Members will learn new steps, step amalgamations, and styling techniques plus work on “good mechanics”

  • Dances taught are: Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Rumba, Mambo, Tango, Cha Cha, Waltz, Samba, West Coast Swing, and Two Step

    • Monday - LUC - 6:30 pm


ADVANCED:

  • Intended for serious dancers. Members should be comfortable with material from all previous levels. Members will learn new steps and step amalgamations plus work on styling and “good mechanics”

  • Dances taught are: predominately ballroom dances. Other current popular dances may be taught

    • Monday - LUC - 7:45 pm

EXTRA/ADDITIONAL SPECIALTY CLASS:

  • This year we are offering a Extra/Additional Specialty Class. You may select this as a primary class or an extra/additional class.

  • Dances: Fall Semester - Line Dance

  • Dances: Winter Semester - Salsa

    • Thursday - WaWa - 6:30 pm

    • Line Dance Only - drop-in fees will also be available - $15/pp payable at the door - cash only please
